We set off with the plan of biking from Berlin to Prague and from there pretty much straight through Germany back to my home, in the black forest region. For days we were struggling strapping our stuff on the bikes so it won’t wobble around while biking and the thought of just not going for…
Hier geht’s zum deutschen Text. The beginning of the year, for me, became the time to evaluate my backpacking gear list. What did work, what didn’t and what am I just simply tired of. This time I shared my gear list on www.lighterpack.com and the final weight including, what I call, the foreigner special (Passport) comes…
The batteries are fully charged, the Van repaired and cleaned. Our road trip across the country to the east-coast can start. First stop: Sedona.

We made it up to Rangeley and stayed two nights at the wonderful ‘Farmhouse Inn’ where they were well informed about Lyme-disease and therefore able to give Soda lots of additional information.
Strong coffee, bagel with cream cheese – I am sitting in a Café and enjoy some treats while the clouds outside are hanging low today in Gorham. In the meantime, ‘Soda’ is at the local clinic to get checked for Lyme-disease.
